THIS EVENING & TONIGHT:

Cloudy and misty with showers. Becoming drier for a time later this evening before blustery showers move in from the south later. Mainly light winds at first but these quickly picking up this evening from the south-west,reaching force 5 by midnight and increasing to force 6 to 7 by morning.

TOMORROW:

Showers and bright spells at first giving way to some heavy rain by afternoon, turning to blustery and sometimes heavy showers later. Force 6 to 7 south to south-westerly winds quickly backing south to south-easterly and increasing to gale force 8, severe gale 9 with higher gusts, then veering south-westerly once more and continuing at gale 8/severe gale 9 through the night.

OUTLOOK:

Remaining very unsettled and windy on Thursday and Friday with heavy, blustery showers and feeling much colder on Friday as the winds come from the north-west. There is a possibility that we may see some wintry showers by Sunday.
